IS GOOGLE UNDER ATTACK?

Every time I try to access the Google home page, it appears but only after an interminable and sluggish delay.

    I don't have any problems now, but I've noticed that at least two different times this week. I was wondering why, since other pages load just fine, but heading off hackers is a good possibility.
